Thanks for coming back to this space. hehehe… In no particular order I’ll be sharing whats been going on in the last year or two.

For starters… in the last few weeks, our family has grown. Yeah… that’s right. God definitely saw my heart on this one because around the time I brought up the topic (with hubs) about when we would CONSIDER Baby #2 (I was considering 2019), God was already laughing at me like… HA! YOU KNOW NOTHING!! I was worse than Jon Snow.

During the 2018 Christmas holiday, I began suspecting something was up and on New Year’s eve I took a test. Three minutes later, I knew. I laughed and of course freaked out 10secs later.

“I’m ready, I’m NOT READY, NO MORE Sushi, How will we do this? No more Co-sleeping with Bubs!! ”

Of course I was being dramatic but within moments, I calmed down and remembered, after all, God will not give me what I cannot handle.

Now that you know how I knew, talking about how I told Hubs is a whole other story… The [E]XTRA in my blog name is not there for aesthetics. Trust.

And Now here we are… Our pregnancy was pretty relaxed. Not a lot of fuss and hoopla. No shower/Sprinkle or Gender reveal party. I was tired and wanted to rest. So I did that but…

It was important for me to document the journey in a way that I could look back on how beautiful pregnancy was and not the heartburn or sleepless nights. There was no better way to celebrate than with a photo shoot. Even when my bump was just starting to show, I already had a vision of what I wanted the pictures to be. I knew my hair, outfits and even my photographer. I (without shame) begged him to come out of retirement for day because I am a sucker for sentiments of course and he knows why it had to be him. HAHA (Thank you again, Femi).

For the first look, my dress was made by Leah-Victoriah who also has a skill in delivering on my visions. Just like when I went wedding dress shopping, I already knew what I wanted but was still deceiving myself trying to look at other options. Jokes… I finally RE-SENT her the inspiration picture and said THIS-This is it!

ANYWAY!!!! Enjoy some of the shots from our first look and I’ll be posting the second look and baby reveal later on the blog.

No excuses, no apologies. Just back. Yay…

My OG readers and friends know my love for writing (opinion and fiction pieces) and sharing my experiences and a huge goal of mine, for 2019 was to return to flex those creative muscles.

I’m psyched to finally have a chance to do that.

Anyway, so much has happened over the last year (or two) and there is quite a bit to share (which don’t even include the few posts currently in my Draft folder… Yikes) and I can’t wait to bring you along for the ride.

I think I have to fight some of you moms out there. No one told me how much fun Christmas is with kids. Obviously this is my first Christmas as a mom and I was fortunate enough that he was old enough to enjoy it. I’m sure he won’t remember most any of it but to see his amazement with the toys (and wrapping paper) it was awesome. Here is a Synopsis…

I’d been playing with the idea of creating this post for some time. The idea came about last year when hubs and I were on the search for a Christmas sweater for the church Carol… We probably had a week to the day which meant most stores were low stock, sold out or five days shipped. We got a pretty good start this year and as I type, hubs Christmas sweater is en route to the house. Yay Us!!

In this season of sharing and caring, I thought I’d round up my favorite Ugly sweaters and group them in diff categories. As at the time of publishing most sweaters were in stock. I will continue to update the post so I’m not sending you on a wild goose chase.
